Fischer James Thums arrived 4 weeks early, the day of Julie's baby shower. The shower wrapped up at 3pm. Julie went for a walk, picked up firewood, and used her elliptical trainer in attempt to calm those "Braxton-Hicks" contractions. But at 8:30 pm Julie's water broke, and off they went to the hospital. Upon their arrival, Julie was dilated to 9cm - that means no pain meds??!! Fischer was born in the tub at 10:07 pm. He was 6lbs, 18 inches..... a healthy baby boy....
