Camping with the Thums
Mike & Bev had us out for a campfire and dinner last night. Fischer & Stanley packed up their camping chairs and their tractors, of course. They ran and played until they couldn't take it anymore!! They were so filthy I thought I was going to have to spray them off with a hose before letting them back in the house!
GO BEARS!
Thursday night I had to special order the Bears/Packers game on the NFL network just so Stanley & I could bust out our new Bears gear! By the end of the night, Pete had them both hollering "Bears stink!" Well, what could I say?!

Sept 9: Julie's 6th 29th Birthday!
The boys had so much fun Saturday at the zoo, we decided to go back for more on Sunday. They were troopers considering how tired they all were after a long weekend.
Then we had a problem after we got home.... Fischer was reaching under the couch, trying to get a book. Somehow he got his head stuck between the bars. He was calm for a minute, then the panic set in. Pete had to take the couch apart to get him out. Glad it happened while Pete was home!!
Sept 8: Tough Mudder WI 2012
We did it again! Don't ask me why.... I've been nursing my wounds, whining about my bruises and stretching muscles I didn't know I had for the last few days. But - as before - it was a riot!! We put ourselves to the challenge this year - 12 miles and 20 obstacles in 2 1/2 hours! Well, I was challenged anyway.... i was the only GIRL and Team Ebert's showed up well-conditioned for the event!!
Justin provided the best laugh of the day with his ice cube enema. Sean dislocated his shoulder (the 2nd time) when he hit the half pipe like a freight train. John ran through the whole course like he was on a Sunday morning jog. I mistakenly opened my mouth in surprise when i jumped into a cold muddy swamp... just down the hill from a dairy farm :)
On the left is Sean and Justin running through the burning bales. On the right.. my fading wounds. Hopefully more pics to come.

Fun Day in Wausau
A couple weeks ago the boys and I packed up and went to Wausau on a Monday for no good reason. JCP happened to have an opening at the photo studio, so I bribed them into getting there picture taken. It cost me 2 hours at the Splashpad and a trip to Fleet Farm for a new toy tractor, but well worth the trip. We all had a lot of fun...

Nature Walk
Pete and I celebrated 5 years in August... This picture of the boys reminded me of one of our wedding photos, so I was playing with a photo app that superimposes pictures. Wow... how things have changed in 5 years!!

Taylor County Fair
Hard working men
Pete obviously has a long way to go on his shop. In the meantime, the boys are enjoying their oversized sandbox!!
To the FARM!
It' been a typical busy summer for all of us. We've taken advantage of Larry & Nede more than once, and shipped the boys down south to the farm.... that's better than Disneyland as far as they're concerned! Fischer J.D. obsession is worse than ever and Stanley is right there beside him. Fischer talks in his sleep ALL the time... a few nights ago i heard, "No Stanley, you don't want a red combine!"
When Grandpa Larry is babysitting, things are apparently done a bit differently. Above, Stanley is eating his scrambled eggs with a skid steer. Below, we have NO idea what Fischer is doing, but he kept running into the shop mumbling something about needing a bigger wrench....
